Words with Friends

By: Tanna Jones

A new fad has developed among Burris students, the game, Words with Friends. Students are able to play this game on either their smart phones or IPod touches. The game is free on both devices.
The game is like scrabble. One person plays a word and then it is sent to your friends IPod or phone. A notification is sent and tells you when it is your turn. A person can play whenever they want, which is the difference with scrabble, you can play whenever it is convenient for you. Senior Paige Chambers say, “ This game is really fun because I can play at my own leisure.”
You can add friends or you can play random people around the word. The goal is to get as many points as possible from words. There are also bonus squares that can help you rack up more points.
