Panic! At the Disco is a band from Las Vegas. The genre of the band is pop punk and alternative rock. They started in 2004 with band members, Brendon Urie, Spencer Smith, Ryan Ross, and Jon Walker. The bands first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out went double platinum and was very successful in 2005. The single from that album was I Write Sins Not Tragedies. A three year gap fans waited on a new album from the band and were very disappointed when it was finally released in 2008. The album Pretty.Odd. had declined in sale from their first album. The band then dropped the exclamation from their name making it, Panic At the Disco, and fans were not happy about the change.
July 6, 2009, the band announced that Ryan Ross and Jon Walker would be leaving the band to venture on a different musical excursion. Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith were not going to give up and once again came out with a hit new single, The Ballad of Mona Lisa. Their new album Vices & Virtues released March 22, 2011 sounding a lot like the first album the band released. The band changed the name back to Panic! At the Disco, adding the exclamation back to the name. Paige Chambers say, "I am excited to have the new sounds back because I didn't like the sound of the second album. I am glad their is a new album out that sounds like the first album." Panic! At the Disco seems to be going in the right direction after dropping some band mates. Panic! with the exclamation seems to be the better sound.Original Members/ New Members
