Movie Review: I Am Number Four

By: Paige Chambers
I Am Number Four is a Walt Disney production, released on February 11, 2011. The director is D.K. Caruso who also directed Disturbia and Eagle Eye. The running time of the movie is 109 minutes and is rated PG-13.

The plot consists of a young man, John Smith, played by Alex Pettyfer, running as fugitive from the enemies of his home planet. He has escaped to Earth, along with the other 8, trying to hide from the evilness of the Mogadorian's. They are killing the last 9 survivors of the planet off one by one. The first three are dead, and John is number four, meaning he will be next to be killed. Once finally settling down in a small town in Ohio, he meets a girl who he falls in love with. The Mogadorian's find him and John and number six fight off some of them in order to escape. John must leave the love of his life to find numbers 5, 7, 8, and 9. The movie ends with this, leaving room for a sequel.

Will John and number 6 find the others? Will John come back to Ohio and be with the love of his life? Will they save their planet? Will the defeat the Mogadorian's? A sequel will have to be released in order these questions. In my opinion, a sequel is the only true options. This movie was made very well and was very interesting and leaves you waiting. I hope there is a sequel.
